I spent two years photographing my own village and the countryside around it. I paid most attention to the facility and imperfections that I saw. I like messy photography and I like messy and dilapidated things. I made this book to give a strong sense of this place in north Essex.
This edition of ten is made as the original design, with hand-made Nepalese paper covers each individually marked and artistically patterned with alcohol-based inks, both translucent and opaque.
