Bounded Edition books for sale
I believe that books are some of the most treasured and valuable objects we have. They enrich us in many ways giving knowledge, pleasure and inspiration.
The Land As It Is – special artist edition
I spent two years photographing my own village and the countryside around it. I paid most attention to the facility and imperfections that I saw. I made this book to give a strong sense of this place in north Essex.
This is the leporello concertina version, with individual artist covers with Nepalese hand-made paper and alcohol inks, to add texture and vivacity.

QUERCUS : an oak tree
The simplest natural object can be the object of love and respect and wonder. Such is it with an oak tree just down my lane which I revere as an example of nature stoic and resolute, handsome and proud, yet also characterful and different from most oaks.

The Land As It is - reprised
As an adjunct to the The Land As It Is leporello book, I redesigned the content to produce a different version. The content is similar but distinctive. The binding is also different.
The story is the same: I spent two years photographing my own village and the countryside around it. I paid most attention to the facility and imperfections that I saw. I made this book to give a strong sense of this place in north Essex.

I started bookbinding three years ago in 2022. I immediately took to the art and it now is half of my creative practice, with photography. The two are perfect complementary facets of bringing meaning to others of one’s world view.
I hand-make, from start (making photographs) to finish (the book). It is all mine. I photograph, develop, scan, write, design, print, make, cut, cover, bind, sew, assemble – everything. I made a flow-chart of the process here.
Capricious Minds
A deeply personal and intimate story about me and my late-onset mood (bipolar) disorder. Very introspective, using self-portraiture to suggest subtly what it is like to have this mental health condition– my experience anyway. It has made me what I am, and my intent was to show that even significant mental health conditions have a big positive.

Côte d’Opale
I made work about the British and French coasts either side of the English Channel (La Manche). Dover-Hastings and Calis-Le Touquet. It was my major project submission for my MA degree. Some of the colour images were serendipitously changed, and became more Impressionistic and surreal. I liked them, so I made this small jewel-like book.

THE THICKS
An area of ancient woodland, composed mainly of very old oaks, birches and hollies. Mystical and mysterious. Tales buried in the leaf-mould. Strange shapes and contortions. A very remarkable place.

Castles Next The Sands
Who does not like beach huts? Quintessentially English by the Sea. In Winter , they take on a different air, with so few people about. They are a bit lonely, but they have each others’ company. And they retail their innate charm and characterful nature. Partly because of the variety of security mechanisms on show.

White Cliffs
Bluebirds and Spitfires and Hurricanes engraved onto the British psyche. Actually today a lovely place of wild flowers and birdsong (not bluebirds, but…). And so geologically fascinating. A diminutive, delicate book, but no less engaging.
